SUMI Sweeping Dish - A sweeping dish that saves the sweeper from bending over and akwardly manuevering a traditional dust-pan and broom. The Sweeping Dish allows the user to sweep dust and dirt into a ramped base. Once the sweeping is complete, the sweeper grabs the ceramic bowl and empties it. Best of all the Sweeping Dish can be left out as functional decoration.
Interface Exploration - Flexible displays can be used to increase the interface area of wrist worn devices like watches. A wrist worn MP3 device can display the song the user is listening to, while the display wrist band can let the user know what's coming next. A touch screen control allows the user to glide their finger up and down to scroll through the list displayed on the wristband. The animated playlist gives the wristband a very dynamic pattern, as well as promotes the user's favorite music to others.
Montara Armchair - A suspension chair fabricated from molded wood polymer. The suspended area is slit with a series of cutouts which softens the seating area to conform to a sitters bum. The hollow negative space can be used to store a book or favorite magazine.
