Isetta - A Wealth of History: The 1950’s BMW Isetta provided inspiration for the new design. In its time, the Isetta also strove to provide stylish city transportation. The goal was to maintain the romantic European flair that helped to make the original Isetta so popular.
Isetta Rendering - Ecologically Friendly: The Isetta concept utilizes compressed air propulsion, a very lightweight, efficient fuel. In this scenario, a compressed air tank powers a generator which powers in-wheel electric motors. This configuration combines high efficiency with the quick transfer of power to the ground.

Isetta Old vs. New - The original Isetta with its sleek profile and clean, flowing lines was known as “the rolling egg.” The new concept replicates the style of the original with a more modern and athletic look that is craved by today’s consumers.
Isetta Headlights and Windshield - Integrated Windshield and Headlights Function: sets headlights back to the windshield to prevent damage and keeps lights clean with windshield wipers Aesthetics: creates a dramatic division between body and windshield, emphasizes rounded lines, and adds a sporty element to the design
Isetta Wheel - Large, Athletically Styled Wheels Function: provides large enough cavity to house in-wheel motors, and the grip and handling for true enthusiasts Aesthetics: an update of a classic BMW style
Isetta Rear Hatch - Lifting Rear Hatch Function: access to trunk shelf and rear viewing through hatch and lower glass for the tallest and shortest of drivers Aesthetics: European-style hatch, classic BMW tail lights, combined with a tall, motorcycle-like stance characterize the rear-end styling of the Isetta
Isetta Body Lines - Flowing Body Lines High beltline wraps continuously from front to back into an upward sweep across the hatch, creating a modern appearance. Lines (and imaginary extensions of lines) cross at natural intersection points, making the visual information appear more unified.
Isetta Dimensions - The dimensions of the Isetta were determined by designing the vehicle from the inside out. The Isetta accommodates the 5th percentile female to the 95th percentile male, which was determined by using ergonomics templates.
Isetta Biomimicry - Front Opening Door A trademark of the original Isetta, the front opening door has been reconfigured, taking bioinspiration from oysters. This naturally occurring design protects its contents, just as the Isetta does.
