The Playforever Sharpener was developed to characterise the playful attitude and nostalgic feeling of childhood innocence and fun that a Playforever toy has on an adult user. The sharpener however was designed for both use in a classroom by a child or at home by an adult. The final proposal would be injection moulded from ABS plastic like all other Playforever toys whilst having a rubber base. I wanted the sharpener to be functional and practical whilst also be playful and fun which is why it wobbles and has an irresistible pull that the user desires to pick up and play with the product.
