Front of a flyer for a monthly club night. They had been running for a few months, and were pulling in an average of thirty people. When I began doing their flyers, the numbers increased to 300 after a half year.

Flyer for a monthly club night. Using simple printing and photcopying techniques, and using paper that printers had sitting around, we came up with an advertising medium that captured attention.

Exhibition of polaroid images at the Forest City Gallery. There was no budget at all for promotion, so I came up with a one colour solution that conveyed the idea of what the medium was.

Sticker for a radio station to build interest in their upcoming launch. A bunch of different artist were asked to come up with interpretations of that phrase. The stickers were then handed out and stuck up all over Toronto.

While huge budgets for four colours plus two spots, and varnishing and die cutting are great fun, often times, clients have far more modest budgets. Trying to devise ways to create something that catches peoples eye and works within squeaky tight budgetary confines, can be a good exercise too.. A flyer for a weekly club night. Despite the fact that it was a popular and long running event, the promoter did up different flyers quite frequently to keep it in peoples minds. I opted to run it in blue ink on some pinkish card stock sitting gathering dust on the shelf at the printers. The “ray gun” was type that I drew just for this flyer, and the other type is my own as well.

Sticker for a record label that they were insistent had to fit within a certain size and shape, in order for it to be diecut. Their logo and all their flyers and stickers were that shape.
