There is a drain hole on the bottom, covered by the webbing. Allows water to drain out, but keeps crud from getting in.

CLAS(P). Cord Lattice Attachment System (Prototype). Rather than the usual PALS webbing on the back of pouches, I devised this. In an effort to reduce bulk and weight, many users attach pouches using paracord. My effort to reduce the weight and bulk even further is this lattice of paracord on the back. Works very well. I’ve created several pouches using this method and am ahppy top report that it works exactly as I intended it.
