As you can see with the other photos in this project there was much to be done in terms on post-render work. When I render and I see a visible drop in color uses these render assets or as 3ds Max calls them "render elements" to put the lost quality back in. I've used the whole render and the elements in post-production and I must say these assets are a time saver.

Transistor is a fantastic game made by Supergaint Games and this is the main weapon used by the main character. I think the largest challenge about this was how the glowing was going to be done and the way the actually lines were going to be perceived. I took some creative liberty and combined some planes and splines to make the circuit look on the bottom half of the blade.
