Oncor Tornado Watch vs. Warning Social Media Graphic:
Problem: Electric utility client needed to educate the public on severe weather events that could impact power outages and overall consumer safety.
Solution:
- told visual story of difference between tornado watch and tornado warning
-used radar imagery to demonstrate how there are no confirmed tornadoes during a watch
-used color to highlight severity with red illustrating higher danger and yellow signifying moderate danger
-clear iconography shows difference between the two weather terms
-graphic provides at-a-glance solution for short attention span of social media audience
