The final images of the primary logo with recommendations to pass off to the Myer's Tire Supply graphic design team.
As our group expanded our offerings to Myer's Tire Supply their product management team asked for guidance on logo and branding for their Amazon house brand. This is a condensed version of the back and forth I experienced within the logo design creation..
After deciding upon the primary logo, the product management team was quick to work with suppliers to create product quickly with little design feedback. The brand was looking for lower cost, quality tools in a smaller order quantity, so we really didn't have the time or tooling wiggle room to make many recommendations.
Creation of the splash page hadn't begun and Myer's was looking for guidance on a strategy to take these products they'd started production on and move toward the future. I had created a quick presentation with a unifying idea, target the offroad community with 3 categories.
Prepare for the trip. Prepare for trouble. Prepare for the worst so you can have the best time. This is where Myer's will find and fill out items to help the customer to prepare for the trip with less professional/dedicated solutions and Items they know will run out on the journey.
Repair on the road. Repair off the road. Repair in the shop. This area is where Myer's will fill out tools that usually sit in a tool box or tool cart.
Recover the vehicle. Stuck in the Snow? Need a tow? Tire Blown? This is the area Myer's would find items for the common recovery items or roadside repairs.
Final design with suggested supporting font color exploration on different color treatments. Handed off to Myers Tire Supply to create packaging, logo and brand standards.
Our team was reached out to about a second design needed for their new in-house tool brand. They wanted to call it MXP with not much more information. First round of concept drawings for sales to discuss with client after direction.
Preference from the first round of concepts went to middle left design. Clients happy to refine concept further, so we provided minor updates with similar feel.
Feedback from client on preferred logo concept from previous group of options. (see previous image in bottom right location)
Exploration of color in the logo to discuss with client and further refinement of logo from previous version. (see previous image in bottom right location)
One of the first products with the final MXP logo applied to it. Tool cart currently for sale on Amazon.
