Upcycled Cutwork Bag
I chose to combine traditional cutwork techniques combined with a layered applique surface design technique. After the inital machine sewing was complete, layers of the outside pocket were cut away to reveal the different layers. Hand embroidery was used to embellish the edges of the cut fabric.
