Uradis: Monitoring River Polution

Following a iterative design methodology, I identified the issue surrounding a lack of data collection in UKs river systems problem response time. To then take this to a consumer level I wanted to make a way for the stakeholders of the UKs rivers to be both aware and part of the solution.

With the angling community estimated above 900,000 practicing in fresh water alone involving this community would give both a large net of influence but involve those who hold a passion for the enviroment and its upkeep.

Coming to concept of creating a set of fishing floats to accomodate for the variety of freshwater fishing styles which would test the chemical levels of the waterbodies they would be used in. This data would then be collected and displayed on a database which both the public and goverment could access allowing for those who wish to know the state of their local waterways as well as bringing any potential issues to local authorities that rely on larger testing services.
