Found art, My Wood Sculptures are primarily made using the Subtractive method. All of my sculptures have a story. The wood used has been discarded by someone, Found Art. I feel like it's giving the tree new life by using the wood. I have spent days just looking at the wood till I see the design concept or what the wood is meant to become. This is all thought over, and over before i start. Making sure I know exactly what material that I need to remove. In some cases I will draw the concept to help me decide but not always. To me sculpting wood is peaceful even if i am using a chainsaw or a hammer and a chisel to remove the wood I love it.
