Infrastructure and Engineer in Landscape. Master plan (with Adi Miller, Ayelet Bar and Yossi Ifrah) + Individual project.
Location: Mount Karmel, Israel.
In the middle of the Karmel Nature Reserve are 2 Druze villages: Isfiya and Daliyat al-Karmel.
Road 672 is a project in process for the past 10 years, its main goal is to plan a bypass road around the villages and the reserve.
In the studio we were required to offer a Master plan for this road, considering the conflicts between development and nature, the need for better transportation and the need to preserve the special character of the villages and more.
The concept: In 2010 a massive forest fire consumed at least 40,000 dunams of forest.
CEASE FIRE is an offer for solution to both road infrastructure needs and the creation of a fire barrier protecting the villages and the forest.
