Finding Family DVD Companion Guide
Design Brief:
Create a companion guide for “Finding Family” DVD that tells the story of Henry Blumenstein, a Cincinnati Holocaust survivor.
The guide must have the following specific attributes:
1. Tell the story in a coherent way.
2. Ability to be photocopied by schools.
3. Hang as a wall poster.
4. Be mailable.
5. Include information about the local Holocaust center and suggested actions the reader could take in response to viewing the DVD.
Action:
• This challenging project was completely accomplished by creating a 16 page folded mailer.
• Each panel was the standard 8.5" x 11" size for copying with no important text close to the edges except graphic elements.
• 8 panels on one side told aspects of the story, but also doubled as a poster.
• PDFs of these panels were also created for online downloads from their website.
