What fresh ideas could be developed to grab the attention of busy customers doing their shopping? Walking down an average store aisle I noticed that rarely is the real estate at the front of the shelf used except for price stickers, shelf strips, product card or an occasional shelf extender.
Here are some of the ideas I worked on during downtime from "real jobs".
I wondered what basic shapes or actual products could be used:
• Dimensional wobblers - cube & cylinders.
• Soup cans.
• 3D Cross-Marketing wobblers - Goldfish & Soup. Functioning printed prototypes of these were completed but unfortunately not photographed - so I have included the artwork here.
• Coffee mug/Hot chocolate cup Wobbler with spiral steam.
• Soup Bowl shelf grabber.
• Dimensional wobbler & shelf card.
• Shelf Blade with 3D Cylinder.
• Toothbrush wobblers.
• Product wobblers - toothpaste box, dental floss & vitamin container.
• Functioning Interactive shelf talker made from paper, foam core, glue & a rubber band!
