Wheel designs for the “ReDesign the wheel” contest (O.Z and Desall). Both wheels were designed following the OZ DNA: racing dna, lightness, quality and attention to detail. This wheel fits the itech and sport collections, and follows the lines and style of proposed vehicles. The first model (R-Link) has been aesthetically and volumetrically inspired by turbine engines and connecting links. The second design proposal (Hero) was inspired by modern sculpture/architecture and super hero armor.
This shapes allow interesting results when using multiple tone trim.
Optimized design for low pressure aluminum casting technology (monoblock). The shapes and volumes have been created with lightness and strength as main target, inspired by racing wheels. The spokes are more robust on the center, thinner on the rim, and thicker in the axial direction due to highest torsion and bending moment generated while hard cornering.
