I designed the Sanger 212SL as a model to define a new era for Sanger Boats, a historic California builder of watersport and racing craft. The sheer line and topside shapes hearken back to the drag hydros of the 60's and 70's, capturing an essential aesthetic that Sanger clients identify with. Fully modeled on Alias, direct from concept sketches to the full size 3D deck and hull plugs, which were milled to high accuracy as a base for production tooling. The boat also holds more than 3000 pounds of ballast weight and incorporates proven hull design features that make it the finest wakesurfing boat on the market. The boat was debuted publicly in late 2016 and will remain in production for the foreseeable future.
