Regal 2200 Bowrider

I designed the 2200 in 2001 for Regal Marine Industries as a style-leading definition for their new model line. This beautiful boat was one of the first in the marine industry to incorporate hard-edge shape architecture. The interior ergonomics were superb, and the boat remained in production essentially unchanged for many years as a strong seller for Regal. The hull running surfaces were created by Michael Peters, with everything else above the waterline emerging from my design philosophy. Models such as the 2250 (Cuddy), 2300, and others were spun from this core design. All surfaces were developed in Alias, and then cut in full size as tooling plugs. I also developed the full interior, instrument panel, wakesport tower, and color and trim options for the model.
