The Cobalt 23LS was my first design as Chief Designer at Cobalt Boats. The boat was a radical (for the time) deck layout mated to an existing hull from the 232 bowrider. As an ergonomic exercise, the boat was a very successful product; the boat had an extremely well thought out interior that opened up new usage possibilities. The tooling for the boat was built by the prototype staff at Cobalt Boats, under my direction, and every detail of the exterior and interior package and styling was my responsibility.
