"n:ow machine" - TED2019
Interactive dome experience for TED2019.
My task was to take an existing flat composite art element and heavily modify and adjust it to conform to an off-site dome structure that we did not have access to (which is less than ideal).
Dye-sublimation print onto Lycra. Printed as seven gores to be cut and sewn to form a slip cover over the dome structure and door. Great care was taken with the art to ensure photographic details aligned correctly when the individual gores were cut and hand-aligned to form the fabric cover.
