Beehive
This beehive will be used for educational purposes in primary schools. The design of the hive is based around the natural beekeeping methodology and is made from 100% recycled plastic material. This will increase the longevity of the hive and will also add greater insulation and prevent rain from entering inside. Additionally it will be made from recycled cardboard postal tubes coated with melted beeswax and linseed oil solution to protect the cardboard against rain and stuffed with sheep wool insulation. The hive can be lowered to allow the inside to be viewed by the children and then pulled back up into the tree to be stored safely away after use.
