As part of the campaign to reignite interest in this citrus-based tequila, month long POP programs were created for restaurants. The VooDoo Blue promotion created for a national chain coincided with Mardi Gras. Two locations in different regions sold out of their entire stock while the McCormicks rep and restaurant's regional director were present. Other promotional items in the campaign included T-shirts, hats, voodoo doll buttons, lighted pens and mardi gras beads.
POP promotion for McCormick Distilling focused on the the Mexican holiday Diez y Seis, with the tagline “Liberate, Celebrate.” This poster features a margarita made with the key lime flavoured spirit KeKe Beach. Other promotional items included a flag banner, tortilla chip bowl liners, shot glasses, table tents, posters and window clings.
