Wind Velocity Acquisition Device: SODAR (Sonic Detecting and Ranging)
Designed a SODAR (Sonic Detecting and Ranging) prototype for measuring wind velocity before placing expensive wind turbines. Helped construct the , and coded the all the beamforming DSP for a SODAR unit as my senior design project.
Uses piezo-electric transducers to send/receive acoustic signals reflected off of different wind velocities.
