Reebok Basketball Outsole (drawings) - Evolution of this outsole began with sketches exploring appearance and assembly before being detailed in Adobe Illustrator. Outsole package and cross sections were sent overseas to be developed in CAD by mold shops. Communicated with overseas to refine blue print and wood mold. A final sample of this outsole is also shown in this portfolio and includes additional details about the project. RESULTS: Client and retailer were very pleased and are moving forward with this design.
Reebok Basketball Outsole (on sample) - OBJECTIVE: Tasked to design a basketball outsole using multi-density EVA, to be sold at a major retailer as an exclusive. Cost had to be modest for mid-tier market. Conceptualized, designed, and specified the outsole's appearance, materials, and configuration before sending the information overseas for sampling.
Branding and Packaging for Big 5 Sporting Goods - OBJECTIVE: Approached by sporting goods retailer to develop their own outdoor private label brand for footwear. Conceptualized the name, logo, and graphics to be associated with the footwear, packaging, and hang tags. Color coded the packaging by gender to make it easier for store associates to move inventory. RESULTS: Client was very pleased and is moving forward with designs.
Logo Athletic POP Concept - OBJECTIVE: Reebok wanted to develop a new mass market brand to be sold at Target. In addition to design contributions for the product and packaging, POP concepts were also requested. This was rendered at a time when multiple brands were being considered. RESULTS: Client was pleased and received a positive reaction from retailer. From there files were given to Reebok's own creative team to use for ongoing development.
Exhibit: Trade Show Booth - OBJECTIVE: Company was launching a new brand and wanted to establish a presence at the WSA trade show in Las Vegas. Worked with outside exhibit design firm to create a new booth from an old booth previously used at The Super Show in Atlanta. Designed all graphics to be used inside and outside of the booth. RESULTS: A dynamic new booth at a third of the cost of creating a new booth.
