Heifer International logo redesign
In this class exercise I had the opportunity to redesign a logo for a non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting peace in the world. I chose Heifer International because, while they do good work, their logo doesn't feel like it accurately reflects their organisation. It has too much of a "the cow jumped over the moon" feeling to it.
I chose to make the new logo have a more serious feel to it with clearer, more modern fonts and by using peaceful blue colors. I removed the childish element of the leaping cow and replaced it with simple flat graphics of three animals nested inside each other (the titular heifer, a goat, and a chicken) since Heifer international donates many different farm animals to families in poverty throughout the world, not just the heifer.
