Senior Exhibition

To receive my Bachelor of Arts in Painting, I was required to create a body of work within my senior year, and showcase it to the faculty. I designed the layout of the exhibition, as well as executed the installation. My work in this exhibition embodies the different ways we encounter the sky, specifically fleeting moments of intense lightness or darkness. I paint large, confrontational works in order to fully engage the viewer. In a similar fashion, all the titles evoke an individual reaction from the viewer, which connects their personal experience to the work. While the titles are left with an air of mystery, the words reference musical lyrics that inspired the creation of the work. The title of the exhibition, Raconte-Moi Une Histoire, translates to “tell me a story” which introduces the open narrative of each painting, and the personal story that the viewer will discover.
