Main logo for the project. UX Design project on helping florists and consumers navigate an app/site to find items quicker based on their needs in a more interactive way. My challenge was creating a floral arrangement app site for both florists and customers and making the filter better and easier to use with readable icons.
When coming up with who could be competitors, I researched to see BloomyPro and ProFlowers are ideal. Researching and auditing had me thinking about what they were missing and regardless of programs, would users be fine with a site that is just based on flowers and selling flowers alone against other sites that offer teaching classes.
As I was doing the sketches, I was debating on how to have it placed correctly and allow users have easier access and navigation throughout the site. A "Wheel Filter" came to mind and the more I sketched, the more I thought of having the wheel be in place of the usual filter/navigation bar.
I wanted to allow florists and customers to be able to navigate through the app easier, so the goal was to be able to have arrows to browse through flowers and to also at the top learn about what is new.
I wanted to have the Category & Filter wheel to be in one place. I turned the category & filter into a wheel, allowing them to "spin" to find what they need.
Designing this part about the flowers, I saw it is crucial to make sure they know info on the particular plant they desire and also learn how to take care of them as well. I also made sure to have a scroller on the side so they will be able to read everything in one place.
When I was doing research and comparing florist sites, I saw that they never had any section to adapt to the user in term of CC and accessibility. In order to solve this, I made sure the user on their account is able to change the language and also add in CC for easier equitable purposes.
