Cafe Chair - This project was for the annual chair design show, put on by the second year Industrial Design students at Humber College. Named, 'La Vie', its organic form is made to be comfortable, attractive and represent the free-flowing life of the city of Toronto.
Mechanical Lamp - The design brief for this project stated that this 'desk lamp' must use both found parts and hand made parts and use at least three types of mechanical features. The found parts include the lights, slider rails, acme screw, bearings, knobs, switches, etc. most of which are stainless steel. The hand made parts are almost entirely lexan. When assembled, the lamp is adjustable for height, width, rotation, on/off, and levelling. The model is fully functional
Space Frame Model - This was the first major vehicle design assignment I was given. The goal of this assignment was to gain a better understanding of the space required within the body panels of a vehicle for both the passenger compartment as well as the mechanicals. The images are of the final 1/5 scale model constructed from 1/4" foam core board and construction board.
GTA In Motion: a2b Concept - The 2008 Toronto International Autoshow featured a new display Titled, "GTA in Motion". The thesis being that smaller cars take up less space on the road and therefore can reduce traffic congestion and "Unlock the Gridlock". My entry to the show is the a2b concept, a two passenger electric vehicle. The a2b features in-wheel motors, extensive use of glass for excellent sightlines and vertical structural members and airbag systems to keep the occupants safe.
Solid Works Model: a2b Interior - This is a model of the interior of the a2b made in Solid Works. This is a model with a background, not a rendering.
Photoshop Rendering - This image is mostly just a practice exercise in rendering, not necessarily design; although I do like the looks of the vehicle. The original sketch which I based the image on is actually very rough. The sketch shown above was done after the fact.
Photoshop Rendering - This is a re-work of another rendering I had done in the past - the original is in the 'Photoshop Rendering' set. The sketch shown above is the one that was imported to Photoshop As the template.
