The Form of the Chair - Though it is a contemporary interpretation, I wanted the chair to have a similar language to thrones of the past. The exaggerated arm rests of the chair act also as a buffer between the seated and those around them.

The Details - I wanted there to be a ritual associated with sitting in the chair, to achieve this I designed two sliding brackets (pictured far right) that would be removed when the chair is in use and replaced when not in use.
