The MN Freeze is a youth basketball team that I started back in 2009, as student in college with a dream of teaching the youth how to become men through the game of basketball.
During the time I was in the process of looking for players to complete this team so I decided to go against using primarily online tactics and decided to design a very appealing flyer that would catch the players eye on their route to the gym and park.
Since my theme was black, light blue and white, I decided to go with a very minimal, relevant, clean and straight-forward design that was very clear as to what I needed and how to find out more about it.
I was able to hold a successful tryout with over 20 kids attending! It was great to see that my flyer not only worked but the mission behind the team was welcomed. Unfortunately, the tasks of running a team while in school was too daunting and I was forced to put things on hold until I am able to commit myself to this great effort again.
