Tower LIght - 3rd year Industrial Deisgn project
The Brief was to create a torch or light using 3d modelling and digital fabrication. The piece plays off expectations of the user. When the cap is on the light becomes directional- a simple shape that could be used as a torch. Uncapping the light reveals an intricate sculptural form, and the light becomes multi-directional, easily used as a night light. The switch is purposefully misleading in this way, and gives the capped item a retro futuristic feeling to it.
