This is an updated design of my Commuter e-Bike. It can be equipped with the 250-1000W rear-wheel drive and a battery with a capacity from 14 to 24.5Ah that ensure mileage on one charge from 60 to 120km (35-75 miles) and up to 150km (90 miles) in the economy mode.
The frame weighs about 3kg (6.6lbs) and is made without welding. For the production of the frame, 6061 and 7075 aluminum alloy elements are used, which are made of square profiles with rounding at the corners with a radius of 3-5mm and which are connected by Hybrid glue-rivet technology.
The Rear Hub motor will work in conjunction with a Hydraulic system disc brakes with enlarged 180mm and 203mm rotors and an 8-speed chain transmission system which will allow to move both on city trips and country adventures.
Preliminary calculations show that my new Commuter e-Bike will be weighting about 18-26kg (40-57lbs), depending on the selected drive unit and removable battery capacity.
