Breville Hand Held Vacuum - DFMA - This project was undertaken as part of a DFMA (Design for Manufacturing Analysis) report. Basically we analysed the existing design, in usability, components and assembly, and then re-designed the vacuum to be more usable and cheaper to manufacture.
The redesign ended up cutting down 33% of non standardised (motor, battery) components, which resulted into a 12% saving on production costs.
