Power Drill - This sketch was done in an hour. It was a concept sketch for a Tech class. The features are: LED lights, Top handle grip for extra pressure, and Light weight Nickle Metal battery.
The Phoenix - This project was created for a boat competition. My concept was to make the kayak experience easier and more enjoyable for all people. So I came up with a leg powered recreational kayak.
The Phoenix is a leg powered boat with a hand controlled rudder. It has the unique ability to connect in a buddy system to unite family. It has many other unique features that add to the ease and pleasure of the overall user experience.
Human Powered Medical Transport - This bike was designed to give medical support in rural areas of third world countries. The bike will take medical supplies to the people, while providing a transportation service to the hospitals. The bike will use local supplies and labor, giving the countries more economy to grow. The bikes can be used for many other services as well in these countries; garbage collection, water distribution, taxi, and bringing goods to the market.
Virgin Air Utensils - Series project to create a family of airline utensils that are cheap,easy to manufacture, and of minimal size for storage purposes.
Smooth and sexy shape is comfortable in your grip. The utensils have a calm presence and offer a pleasureable eating experience. Their countoured shape allows them to be stacked in a 1in. wide box.
In this project I learned how to design a family of products with a consistant design language.
Virgin Air Packaging - Designed for storage in an orderly fashion with in a mininal space.
Chess Set - The project was to design an aluminum chess set in Unigraphics. Chess set was created for a high-end retail store.
Created for easy storage. The pawns were designed to fit inside the chess pieces behind them. Each chess piece is made as an idividual part and to be assembled as a whole.
This project, as an intro to the UG program, taught me how to design through the modeling and manufacturing process.
Roto Chair - This is a rotationally molded chair. Cheap to manufactor with many color selections. Designed to handle 1000 lbs. of pressure with the safety factor of 2.
