VR's control wagon
The control wagon of VR group is unique in Finland
The control wagon combines the qualities of both a control wagon and a passenger car. The control room is located on the other side of the wagon, and the passenger car has approximately 100 seats. With the help of the control wagon the train can be steered from both ends without the need to change the control wagon or locomotive itself, which relieves the traffic in especially crowded railway yard of Helsinki. The initialization of the new control wagon will improve preciseness in all train traffic across Finland.
