for the past 12 weeks I have been working on creating an avant garde outfit.
this piece is about coming of age as a young women, and the physical manifestation of the feelings during this time in limbo between youth and adult.
for this piece I was heavily inspired by the 1960s-70s fashion and women, especially the playboy bunnies of that time. but the main theme throughout is the influence of "male gaze" on how we perceive and treat young women.
