Jukebox Gearo is a musical puzzle that invites social play. swap out record-like planetary gears as they spin on the table. Each gear triggers a note to play. If you get the right combination of notes, it plays a popular song.

Our team started sketching concepts for this graduate course project after defining the objective to create a musical game built around a planetary gear system. We referenced 50’s car fins, mid-century furniture, and polaroid cameras for the form. I also designed the CAD model in Fusion 360 before fabricating the housing and gear mechanism.
