RFID Turnstiles - Me and my team Delia Gheorghe and Diana Stuparu tried to eliminate most problems with currently used turnstiles, from both a traveler’s and a station manager’s point of view.
The design proposed uses RFID technology,the same technology found in supermarket gates, which detects the ticket directly from the traveler’s pocket or bag, eliminating the problem of not finding the ticket fast enough when in a hurry.We focused on providing a clear visual language and a sturdy,but not overwhelming aspect.
