Stranezza
Stranezza was created as a result of the challenge to find an application for this unusual character that I originally carved out of linoleum.
This character found a home on the Italian wine label of Stranezza
(Oddity). This wine was born with the intention of being a small producer of very high quality wine, thus the tagline for the label had to be reminiscent of such. Nella botte piccola c'è il vino buono (good things come in small packages), or rather small barrels in this case, emphasized this idea perfectly. The color palette was kept limited and earthy as a subtle nod to the wine making process.
