This was the cover design for the 2023 edition of POLGO. This book showcases poetry from a wide array of Florida students. Because of the eclectic collection of works, a collage of sorts seemed too fitting not to pursue.
Several collages were physically created and then photographed before moving into a digital work space. Objects like the strawberry leaves and butterfly shell were all paying homage to the great state of Florida. The definition of original was incorporated on the cover to emphasize the unique work within and what POLGO is all about. When placing the logos on the back I wished for them to be a part of the design, not an afterthought as they can so easily become when doing projects like this. The logos were treated like all other objects in the collage, creating a harmonious final cover.
