Glenmorangie Glorifier
A brief given by a client of Thwack requested the design of an alcohol glorifier to present to customers who purchase Glenmorangie at high end clubs. Client approved my design and so we proceeded to manufacture the first prototype. My aim was to design it in such a way that Wide Open would be able to manufacture about 50 units in their factory using a laser cutter, our 3D printers and spray booth. My Industrial Design colleague Lindokuhle Mdlalose took over the project after I immigrated to the USA and contributed to the final finishes such as a screw mechanism that presses the bottle down into the glorifier for a tighter fit.
