The nostalgia of vintage tin toys greatly inspired the Rotating Retro Rockets Bangle. The simplicity of classic toys influenced the form of this 3D designed piece, as did the colorful surfaces and futuristic themes. I was challenged to create movement in a static object, and chose to show this in the wrapping motion of the rockets, which further pushes the idea of orbit and flight. This was the first in a series of my work that was inspired by 1950's and 60's retro futurism.
