HOLD THE LINE! - Vern Buchanan recently ran for U.S. Congress in Florida. This was a campaign poster that was written for him to help him to present his positions on key issues affecting Floridians that was used by the Young Republicans Club.
Note: Mr. Buchanan, now Congressman Buchanan, won the Congressional election by the mere margin of 300 votes out of hundreds of thousands that were cast. This highlights the importance of reaching the voters!!!
Help Katrina Victims!! - The great majority of us want to sincerely help the victims of Hurricane Katrina! Let us be on guard, however, that we support them without seeking any personal gain. The money is for them. The publicity is for them. Let us help and protect them and keep them from being twice victimized by the unscrupulous, who may be among us!
Note:
Posters were created to be auctioned to raise funds to aid the unfortunate victims of Hurricane Katrina.
Pipolotti Rist - We were instructed to create an image that would spark an interest in the work of a visiting, contemporary artist. Each of us was assigned an artist and my artist was Pipolotti Rist. Ms. Rist is an Italian woman who makes video art. Her work is a very alive mixture of contrasting sounds and unusual and seemingly disjointed images.
The Mop - The challenge of our "wearable" project was to create a wearable item from materials at hand. I thought immediately of high fashion and the absurdity that it often trends to and I decided to make a fashionable purse from the bane of all women, a mop.
Everything I Do - The truth of this quote by Sagmeister is clearly evident. I painted this quote in sign format so that it would inspire those who saw it to always be mindful of the consequences of their actions and work.
