This project utilizes solar power, global positioning system, and auto-cruise technologies to develop snorkeling solar yacht named “Floating Bay”. Floating Bay is designed in unique U shape to facilitate safer and more pleasant sea activities. As floating alongside a peaceful bay, whoever could enjoy the time at sea by Floating Bay even lacking of professional diving skill. Floating Bay is in distinct design as opposed to existing solar yacht.
For example, high-speed movement is unnecessary while snorkeling. Thus, Floating Bay make good use of most of the advantages of solar power, such as environmental friendliness, sustainability, noise-less. It avoids the weakness of limitation of efficiency in power generation at the same time.
In conclusion, this project will contribute to both sustainable leisure industry as well as upgradation of yacht industry in Taiwan.
