"Somos Novios"
"Somos Novios" is a chair developed for the contest Silla MX (MX chair) from the MUMEDI (Mexican Museum of Design) under the topic: the contemporary mexican chair.
The concept is based on the couples relationships. Taking in count that the relationships, within the cultural background of the country, tend to be dependent, we want to show that people can reach and be something together but that also each one has its own personality and can function on its own. This is shown with two chairs that can be placed together to make a single one or by making two chairs independently.
