SPYRA Interactive Instalation
To commemorate the anniversary of the Nefeli & Giapras Museum I was asked to design a permanent centerpiece that would usher the museum into the digital age and add to the museum experience in a novel and captivating way. Different fragments of antiquities embedded with RFID tags are displayed inside a sandbox. The visitor can select any piece and place it in a circular base which contains an RFID receiver that can 'read' the fragment, recreating it in its original form on a large display. An iPad housed inside the installation allows visitors to rotate the objects and also have access to information divided in 6 chapters: Description, Usage, Technical data, Decoration, Comments and Related Items.
