The development is named “La Valenciana” as a tribute to the historic 16th century mine in Guanajuato, which dates back to the time of New Spain. The design of the access boulevard is based on cultural fusion, combining on the one hand the road that symbolizes the historical legacy of Spanish infrastructure and on the other with a landscape that incorporates the concept of the snake, representing the worldview of pre-Hispanic culture.
The access road reuses the old road to the cattle ranch, where the complex is now located. This connects the development with the road and along the walk a system of squares and walkways framed with bougainvillea and lavender was implemented.
The large snake conceived as an element of land art, is designed to leave a subconscious memory for those who access the development, this was achieved by calculating the speed of access and the human capacity to retain the number of colors and shapes, the landscape sculpture became quickly the most recognized icon of development.
As part of the development's amenities, a refuge of haven and peace was created in which the area to practice yoga is set out as the only built element. The landscape of the space was designed with species such as pennisetum, plumbago and rosemary in the circular beds of the cherry trees highlighted by the piñon stone. The area is designed to use a low percentage of water in its maintenance. Pedestrian system (Main Boulevard)
The spaces that were originally intended for parking were used for the pedestrian system that was proposed to transform these spaces into public areas that can be enjoyed by the users. The design includes elongated squares with fixed benches and furniture for social harmony. This pedestrian system is made up of 23 public spaces and 3 kilometers of pedestrian walkways, which create an accessible, safe and healthy environment for residents.
In an area affected by electrical wiring lines, a park is proposed that offers a route through existing and proposed native species: agave, nopales, rosa laurel, etc. which are complemented by soft piñon stone pavements. The park houses a calisthenics space and a pet park for the enjoyment of the community.
