This 5th architectural trip in the south-west of France invites us to enter the tranquility of an atypical stall in the city center of Bordeaux.
The warmth of Bordeaux limestone blends perfectly with the industrial spirit of the steel storefront or the brushed steel railings of the rooftop terrace.
The forecourt incorporates in its center a circular platform of 4 meters in diameter, rotating a car 360 degrees : it avoids for 1 single car maneuvering in reverse.
An automatic sliding door opens on a large slatted patio of about 5.50 meters by 6 meters, with the possibility of parking 2 "small"cars.
Access to this roof terrace is provided by a specific aluminum-glass airlock and specific aerial staircase.
Dotted with several specific bonsai trees, the rooftop terrace invites you to take an exotic stroll.
The zinc roof partially shelters an indoor swimming pool bathed in light through large bay windows.
A small outdoor fountain is fed by the same piping system as the indoor pool itself, which is bathed in light along its entire length by a glass brick wall.
Omnipresent light reinforces the graphic spirit of this interior architectural space through translucent, transparent or tinted glass.
Enjoy the colorful graphics of the staircase leading to the roof terrace and the water wall formed by the waterfall that feeds the indoor pool.
Marriage of fire and water with an astonishing suspended wood stove whose shape echoes that of the indoor swimming pool.
An interesting mix of building materials combines traditional limestone, IPN steel beams, brushed aluminum and different types of glass.
"Water" spaces including swimming pool and bathroom are seperated with the other "Living areas" such as the living room-kitchen and the bedroom.
