Every space is adequately address in the context of the Chinese culture, however with the insertion of advanced technology in our modern lifestyle, we seems to lose certain gesture, rituals and notion of our roots. "Intensity" is a bench like object that allows the user to control the intensity of the lights by adjusting the light plate up and down the wood pillar, a gesture of comparable meaning with the Character "?" . The gesture and rituals involve in lighting up the space suggest a closer relationship between the light, space and user. The lights gets softer as it goes higher up the pillar, at the same time opening the space of the bench underneath the light plate; after using it, user would just need to move down light plate to close the space and contain the intensity of the lumen.
