[space] - [to create and change space] Increasing population and new ideals of society means space has become transient commodity. We now need to function successfully within increasing confines and our definition of personal space is evolving. The outcome of this project is to create a stylish and adaptive suite of furniture that incorporates the issue of personal space.
[concept]
[construction] - All the pieces of the suite use the same framing method. The core frame is made from aluminium; this cuts down on weight and allows for a stronger form. The underside is made up from acrylic sheets that will come in a range of colours to suite the fabrics. A sheet of ply is then screwed down on top of the frame to form a base for the high density foam.
[mood boards] - The above mood board is the type market that I intended to target and, below mood board is the feeling of the product. This target market are people aged between the years of 25 – 55. This demographic age group is the core office working age of Australia. This group of people consist of both sexes, and a wide range ethnic background. Collectively this group of people represent a large sector of the buying market. The location of this market is largely urban, be it city or suburbs.
