A&E - Ellen MacArthur - Objective: To conceptualise a type composition that typographically expresses a celebrity's character as an advertisement for an A&E Biography show.
Solution: Ellen MacArthur made the fastest solo sail around the world. This was my attempt to express her character and successful feat.

Mostly Mozart London - Objective: To design a poster for Mostly Mozart touring production that's visiting London.
Solution: To associate the festival with London, I used the London Underground logo in the same way station names are displayed. The photographs were meant to represent the dazzling array of vocal, instrumental and dance works on display at the festival.

Penang Food Festival - Project Brief
The big event was coming up, and my client is in trouble. He needed a poster to advertise the event as soon as possible, but doesn't have any budget for photos or illustrations. That means I was working with text only, and maybe a geometric shape or two -- a challenge, but also a creative opportunity.
Local Food Festival
My town was hosting a festival for its favorite food. For this poster, I had to include food festival name of my choice, list of at least five available foods, date, time, location, cost, web address, sponsor, and any other desired text.
Solution
I used an orange yellow to whet the appetites and added brownish red circles to for a spicy touch to the food dishes and bowls on offer. This incidentally resulted in a 'retro' look to for a more eye-catching effect.

Pixels Inspired - Objective: To design a logo to emboss for my own purposes.
Solution: Selected several coloured boxes and embossed them with 3 different depths to physically represent the pixels' inspired nature.

Postcard Front - Type Inspired - Objective: To design a postcard with the purpose of marketing the design skills and services I plan to offer to clients.
Solution: As a typographer, my focus was mostly on type so I decided to present a non-graphical dictionary theme. On the postcard's front, my aim was to make the a big impression on the studio's name with the definitions to give more 'meaning'.

Postcard Back - Type Inspired - Objective: To design a postcard with the purpose of marketing the design skills and services I plan to offer to clients.
Solution: As a typographer, my focus was mostly on type so I decided to present a non-graphical dictionary theme. On the postcard's back, negative space around the word 'design' and its definition brought about focus on the "design studio" message. Elaboration and examples on the different services made potential customers feel educated.
